Poodle Rescue and rehoming services
Rescue
Columbia Poodle Club is committed to assisting with the rehoming and rescue needs of Poodles and their owners in our region.
We have a separate rescue fund dedicated to rescue and rehoming services.
We maintain a Rescue Coordinator who can facilitate rehoming by placing individuals who have contacted us looking for adult Poodles, in contact with owners who need to rehome dogs. Other services include counseling on available rescue and rehoming resources, handling problem behaviors, emergency assistance, and transportation of dogs to new homes or shelters.
While the Club does not provide foster homes, Club members may very occasionally provide temporary foster care when we are asked to help with a purebred Poodle by a veterinarian or a humane society.
If you have or know of a Poodle in the region in need of rehoming, please contact our Rescue Coordinator: Paula Morgan, paula@bpmorgan.com.
Adoption
If you are looking for an older dog, we recommend contacting breeders and asking them about older puppies or poodles they may have who have retired from their breeding program.
